This blog presents my work development and research within designing a wallpaper range. The range is divided into three parts: digital, digital mixed with patch work and hand made designs. This blog only represents my digital input; all hand made designs are attached on the boards to show its real beauty, surface, reflection and texture. I really enjoyed the project, it was a good experience!!!
This blog is created for the Professional Projects Unit to record my designing process within the Solent University project. I am going to create a range of wallpaper designs for anyone who is inspired by nature and will be excellent for someone’s home to form calming and relaxing background for everyday life. A collection of wallpaper’s will be reflecting beauty and perfection of shapes, colours, materials and textures borrowed from natural surroundings mixed with a digital media.

LOOKING FOR THE PERFECT WALLPAPER DESIGN.
I was playing with fabrics using cut shapes and frames to find the most interesting and appealing design. It was exiting to find varying methods of fabrics usage, using the matt and shiny sides to great effect.

HAND MADE AND DIGITAL DESIGNS IDEAS...
This drawing gave me an idea for my next design. This is a design done simply by pen, but for future designs I plan to use thread. We will see what the results are going to look like.
There are results of threaded lines in three different shades.

DIGITAL DESIGN DEVELOPMENT...
To make the digital design of my wallpaper more interesting I have come up with a new idea: to create 3D dimension on a flat surfaces. This image below shows my work in Adobe Photoshop to precisely recreate the design within my honeycomb pattern.
