INSPIRING NATURE POETRY

I was looking for inspirations within poetry about nature. To fully perceive an authors understanding of his subject, be that "nature" or other, every reader will try to reach the same understanding, but will fail. Perception is subjective. But the influence of our perceptiveness is infinite. We constantly create and recreate from what we see, so the influence of nature is endless.

What Would I Be

What Would I Be

What would I be, if I could be?
Anything at all, my soul free,
A tree or a stream, perhaps light,
From a star above cast at night.

Or my soul might fly across time,
And stay in the skies blue and sublime,
There above all, safe to explore,
All of my minds shore.

A shoreline eternal and an ocean blue,
In skies of endless hope soaring true,
And I will live forever in my mind’s eye,
Flying as a soul in an endless sky.

Nature is so Beautiful Here

© Jamie Vann

Flowers with petals so soft
Their smell in the air so heavenly sweet
Water floats off the leaves like joyful tears
And the sun shines down giving only a radiant heat
Nature is so beautiful here.

The wind whispers secrets the trees
And wisps through the soft, dewy grass
Creating only a light gentle breeze
And leaving a silent calmness ever so clear
Nature is so beautiful here.

An eagle soars over the majestic mountains
Like a king, like a spirit of freedom
How he must love to fly
Nature is so beautiful here.

Beautiful melodic music ascends into the air
And almost seems to touch the heavens
It is a sweet song that small birds wish to share
While they look onto the world from solitary branches
Nature is so beautiful here.

There is a safety to this peaceful world
A place for mothers to cradle young by their side
Everything is always as it should appear
And no creature has to hide
Nature is so beautiful here.

The day is forever sunny in the clouds above
As the eternal day sweeps across the land
This world is one to love
With so much peace, so much wonder, so much mystery
How can nature be so beautiful here?

A place like this

© Milo Shumpert'appel

I need an island in the sea,
Away from you away from me,
Beyond the waves beyond the wind,
Beyond the world that we live in,
Under skies of shining stars,
Away from lights and noisy cars,
Above the egos and the stress,
Beyond the world we made a mess.
A place for me a place for you,
An earth that's green a sky that's blue,
A place for you a place for me,
An open sky and light blue sea,
With dreams as solid as the ground,
A place like this I think I've found.
A happy thought no one can take it,
A place like this is where we make it.
I need a mountain in the sky,
Just beneath where angels fly,
Where snowflakes falling on the ground,
Is the most disruptive sound,
Above the waves above the wind,
Above the world that we live in,
Above my life above the stress,
Where I can lay it all to rest,
Under skies of falling snow,
Just above the world below,
Just above the trees and birds,
A place I can't describe in words.
An empty place that's so appealing,
How'd I get this stupid feeling?
Bad ideas come and go,
But none as potent as the snow,
I need no island in the sea,
Just the things that make me me.
I need no mountain in the sky,
Just to laugh try not to cry,
Forget these far off fantasies,
And manifest as realities,
Reach out and grab it in good time,
Seize the moment make it mine,
Catch the moment make it last.
Just be grateful when it's past.
Sensations as real as the wind,
Try not to be sad when it ends.
A happy thought no one can take it,
A time like this is when we make it.
I need an island in the sea,
And all of that which makes me me.
